Safeguarding

We are committed to providing a friendly, respectful and safe environment for all who come into contact with our Church community. We want people to be able to meet together and share their lives as far as they wish. We therefore give training to leaders and others to raise awareness of best practice in this area.

Safeguarding is the action we take to promote the welfare of children and adults at risk and protect them from harm. It is everyone’s responsibility.

We recognise the important role that the church has in providing a safe and caring environment that promotes the needs of the vulnerable and marginalised in our society. Children and adults at risk should be totally safe within KFC to learn about Jesus and to enjoy Christian fellowship without being put at risk. We do this primarily because it honours God, but we also want to make sure that we’re acting above reproach in the eyes of parents, carers, our communities and the government.

If you need to report a safeguarding concern, please complete a report form. Please feel free to record any concerns, even those you feel may be small or insignificant. Logging a concern doesn’t necessarily mean we need to take immediate action or escalate things further, but could be helpful in building a picture of a wider issue.

If you have any questions, please get in touch with the team by emailing safeguarding@knighton.org.uk.

If you have any other concerns or complaints not covered by safeguarding, please see our complaints page.

We appreciate your help in bringing matters to our attention. Thank you.
