We are committed to making church activities as accessible as possible to all.
Welcome
The Welcome Team are situated in the front foyer every service and will be able to assist and answer any questions you may have.
Access
- The church can be entered using the ramp at the front of the building or using the step-free side entrance.
- The upper hall can be accessed via a lift situated near the side entrance of the building.
Facilities
- Two parking spaces are dedicated to disabled users. They can be found in the church car park at the rear of the building.
- We have a toilet suitable for wheelchair users. This toilet is also stoma friendly.
- Seating in the main hall is flexible enabling space can be made for wheelchair users.
- An induction loop is available in the main hall for those requiring it. Hearing aid users should adjust their hearing aid to the T position.
- We aim to present audiovisuals in a way that is accessible to all.
- We have noise cancelling headphones available if you need them. You can find them in the cloakroom (right and left from the church foyer and at the side entrance). They fit both adults and children and we’d like you to clean them well with them with the wet wipes in the bag after use and return them to the cloakrooms when you leave the building.
- You can instantly translate our service into your own language, or use English for live captions.
- Communion is served to everyone seated. Gluten free bread and non-alcoholic wine is used.
- We have a ramp for anybody to use to get up onto the platform.
- Service sheets and newsletters are available in paper format and can be produced in large print.
- The church building is well signposted for easy access.
- Assistance dogs are welcome in our church building.
We regard the provision of a welcome to people with different needs as a continuous process of learning, and if you have any comments about how we can improve accessibility, please do speak to a member of staff.
